Winter/Spring/Summer
Alpine skiing
Two alpine ski resorts are easily accessible from the lodge. The Gautefall Ski Center is about a 20-minute drive away and is ideal for families and beginner skiers. For those seeking a more challenging experience, the larger Vrådal Panorama Ski Center offers a varied selection of slopes, about a 40-minute drive from the lodge.
Ski touring
From the lodge, you can immediately begin your ski touring (randonnée) towards Kronfjell, which lies behind the cabin. Enjoy the tranquility and expansive views during the ascent, followed by a spectacular descent overlooking Lake Nisser.
Norwegian Riviera
Discover the Norwegian Riviera with charming coastal towns such as Kragerø, Arendal (can be combined with a visit to Merdø), Tvedestrand (in combination with the island of Sandøya) and Risør.
Take a trip to idyllic islands like Skåtøy and enjoy the relaxed coastal atmosphere. The Norwegian Riviera is approximately 85 kilometers from the lodge and is perfect for a day trip. The coastal towns also offer many excellent restaurants, cafés, and charming harbors.
Cross-country skiing
When there's enough snow, the cross-country ski trails begin right in front of the lodge, at the foot of Kronfjell. There are also several well-maintained cross-country ski areas in the area, such as Fjone Høgfjell.
An ideal way to explore the winter nature of Telemark in peace and quiet.

Hamaren Activity Park
The Hamaren Activity Park is definitely worth a visit, if only for the beautiful hiking trail along Lake Fyresdal. The 3-kilometer trail runs right along Lake Fyresvatn, passing through a beautiful pine forest and unique rock formations, including the impressive Klokkarhamaren.
At the end of the trail there is a small playground for children and a nice picnic area, where you can make a campfire and enjoy nature.
